DATA COLLECTION

Measurement data usually come from the production line and the metrology room. TQM Itaca enables management of both situations with specific software modules:

Itastat Measure to manage data acquisition from shopfloor measurement instruments.

Itaconv to manage data from advanced measurement instruments in metrology laboratory or quality department.

Both modules write the data directly in the Itastat 6 database, where they are available for statistical analysis by means of other modules of the Itastat 6 Suite.

ITACONV

ITACONV can connect together measuring systems working with a PC and saving data in proprietary files like CMMs, roundness measuring systems, surface roughness systems, etc. ITACONV is able to read, convert and verify the data, and with the simple interface allows the operator to “work” on the data before being written into the database.

Itaconv can work in manual or automatic modes.
Manual: the operator decides when to import the data and add remarks, auxiliary data, Events/Causes/Remedies.
Automatic: at customer-established intervals Itaconv "looks for" new data to import.

Itaconv can manage a lot of different instruments in different data formats: all the data gathered in the centralized database (or also exported in other formats) can then be analysed by means of Itastat software for statistical analysis and also for advanced selections and customized reporting.
