ITAGEO is developed for acquisition and storing of the profile of cylindrical surfaces in rotation. Data acquired are then processed by reconstructing the profile and calculating is performed by means of user-definable analysis methods. The measuring cycle is automatic and the system can easily be integrated with automated lines.

The testing mechanical structure is very simple. It is comprised of two V-shaped shaft supports and a gearmotor with drive belt. The value is read by an electronic contact probe. The cycle time is approximately 2 - 8 seconds depending on the diameter. Repeatability tests carried out on 25 consecutive measurements (with repositioning) using a master give a value of 6 sigma less than 0.3 microns.

The measured value is displayed as polar profile integrated by the linear graph with possible dynamic zooming. An option is provided to save the graph of each test. The results are saved in Itastat 6 database. With the R1 version, you can test one section only. With the RM version, you can connect up to 16 probes to test 16 sections simultaneously.The features to check can refer to a single section or resulting from a comparison of various sections.
