TQM Itaca has developed ITAGEO, an innovative, powerful system for dynamic in-line dimensional/geometric checking of electric motor shafts and collectors. The results of the armature inspection machine are comparable to measurements taken by laboratory roundness measurement machines. ITAGEO fixtures are easy to use, even for the line operator, and have a very short cycle time (2 - 4 seconds depending on the diameter). They can be integrated in automated lines (both for shaft and armature inspection) and are capable dialoguing with automatic loading/unloading systems and sending adjustment parameters to lathes.
